A sad day for PAVs…

So on Monday, someone posted video of a “flying car” on Reddit, in this case a test flight of the SkyRunner, which is one of the many PAVs I have been following.

Unfortunately, the test went horribly wrong, when the couple in the vehicle was unable to gain enough altitude to clear the top of a nearby building.  Both riders were injured, although there are little details at the moment.  I don’t know what went wrong, and I cannot speculate.

Here is a link to the story:

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the SkyRunner team, as they are among the few brave pioneers in this new transportation space of PAVs.

Most Sincerely – Dave

UPDATE:

According to Gizmodo, this was a 3rd party in UAE that owned one of the SkyRunners.  It was not a test flight, as originally assumed.  The crash occurred on Feb 9th.
